Building Social Distancing Features/Expectations

Under Plan B all students must adhere to the 3 W’s.  This includes 6 feet social distancing , wearing a cloth face covering, and washing their hands regularly. To assist your child in this transition we encourage you to begin familiarizing them with these expectations:

  • Symptom screenings will take place upon entry.
  • Staff and students shall wear face coverings.

  • The South Entrance door will be utilized for entry by walkers and bike riders.

  • The Front Entrance will be utilized for entry by car riders and bus riders.

  • Traffic patterns in the hallways are labeled with red arrows to enforce one-way directional movements.

  • All students will be directed to wash their hands upon entry to the classroom.

  • All individuals will remain socially distanced from others.

  • Music, Art and Library classrooms will be sanitized between class changes.

  • Students will be prohibited from drinking directly from the water fountains.  They may fill bottles at the water fountain or at the Reverse Osmosis water station.

  • Playground use will be limited to one grade level at a time. No shared equipment will be allowed.

  • Each student will have his or her own instructional materials.

  • Lunches will be delivered to classrooms.

  • Physical Education classes will take place outdoors.

  • PE equipment will not be shared.

  • Dismissal will be staggered by grade level.
